In the field of oil drilling, the surface quality of drill pipes directly affects the efficiency and safety of the entire drilling process. However, the tungsten carbide coating on the surface of threaded drill pipes often poses a challenge, as traditional removal methods are often inefficient and may damage the surface of the drill pipes. Therefore, we provide oil and gas development customers with a custom non-woven abrasive wheel, designed to offer efficient and precise tungsten carbide coating grinding solutions. According to experimental data, our abrasive wheels can grind a 7-meter-long drill pipe six times.

Firstly, polishing wheel for Oil Drill Pipesbased on the unique spiral curved surface of oil drill pipes, we selected non-woven abrasive wheels, which possess excellent elasticity and wear resistance, maintaining stability and high efficiency in high-speed rotating environments. These wheels can perfectly fit the surface of the drill pipes, efficiently processing the tungsten carbide coating on the drill pipe surface.

The surface hardness of the oil drill pipe in this solution is HV0.3 > 1200, with the polished surface being the spiral tooth bottom and tooth flank. It requires the removal of defects such as pitting formed by surface spraying, and the finished surface roughness after grinding is ≤Ra0.8μm. To meet the strict requirements of customers for surface quality, we chose high-quality silicon carbide blend abrasives. This material not only has excellent wear resistance and cutting force but also can maintain stability in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, ensuring consistent surface treatment effects of the abrasive wheel throughout its service life. This not only ensures the stability and wear resistance of the abrasive wheel during use but also ensures the smoothness and accuracy of the drill pipe surface.

In terms of usage environment, we control the rotation speed at 1440r/min to ensure the stability and high efficiency of the abrasive wheel's operation. This process not only ensures the quality of the drill pipe surface but also improves its durability and service life.
